Punctuation Tip – Colon (:)



 

Punctuation marks regulate the flow of your thought in your writing!

Get to know when to use Colon (:) correctly. It is used:
1)      To mean “note what follows”
E.g. When you go swimming, take these items: goggles, swimming hat, swimming suit.
2)      Before a long, formal statement or quotation
E.g. Let’s learn from one famous saying: What we have once enjoyed we can never…
